Audition Techniques

This workshop aims to give students a practical insight in to the experience of auditioning for drama schools/university departments. The workshop will look at what candidates will be expected to do at an audition and how best to prepare for this. This will include an insight in to monologue choices and suitability. We will look at the format of an audition day and the challenges within that. Practical exercises beginning to explore personal presence, relaxation and movement will take place in order to look further at the qualities that an audition panel are looking for.

The workshop is designed to compliment the Higher Education Audition/Interview Workshops currently in place, by taking a more practice-based view of the skills specific to vocational training and study of drama. This is a two- or three-hour workshop which we can bring in to you.
