Acting - An Introduction

Anyone, regardless of prior experience and training, is invited to apply to this course. Through improvisation exercises and character development, you will develop a basic acting vocabulary. You will explore techniques in freeing the actor’s voice, imagination and physicality, as well as enhancing skills in working supportively with others in the creation of character, situation and role. You will work with experienced tutors who will aim to nurture both your confidence and creativity.

After this course, you might like to consider moving to the second level of study by choosing one of our specialist short courses such as Acting – Text 1 or Voice for Performance – An Introduction.

Course Detail:

This course runs on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7.00pm - 9.30pm, with an intensive Saturday in the sixth week of term from 1.00pm – 6.00pm. Registration begins at 6.00pm on the first Monday of each term. Minimum age is 18+
