Abstract

An investigation into the impact of Neoliberalism on vulnerable young people, working in collaboration with inner city London based charity Kids Company. Investigating the current provisions provided by Kids Company in a variety of different settings and the problems facing both the service and the service users regarding sustainability.

The research focuses on exploring whether participatory theatre practice can be used to challenge negative personal constructs of vulnerable youth in inner city Kids Company school locations, to address issues of impact and sustainable outcomes.

The project works on the premise all parties within the school environment i.e. teachers, LSAs/TAs and pupils need to be involved in the process of change in order to sustain changes in attitude, behaviour and relationships.
