Nicola started dancing at the age of 5 and has not stopped since. She began her dancing at JLD school of dance in Basingstoke where she trained in ballet and jazz. She then attended Italian Conti associates at 16 where she started training in Musical Theatre and Drama.  Aged 17 Nicola began taking photographs of the world around her, this was her first encounter with the body and form with which she had an immediate fascination.

At 18 Nicola moved to London to carry on her training at London Studio Centre where she studied various forms of contemporary (Cunning, Graham, Limon, Contact Improvisation, Release Technique) and Jazz ( lyrical, commercial) choreography and musical theatre. She graduated in 2011 with a BA in Theatre Dance and the Elizabeth West award for Choreography and Contemporary Dance. During her studies at London Studio Centre she collaborated with design students from Central St Martins and directors from Drama Centre. It was these small collaborations which ignited her creative spirt and since then Nicola has been exploring movement in personal projects for both theatre, film and photography. As well as collaborating with other practitioners and theatre company’s. Nicola is also an artist community member at Chisenhale dance space where she helps with community and creative events. Nicola continually attends workshops and has completed short courses in Toy camera photography and curating.
