Agnes holds a BA (Hons) Theatre degree from Dartington College of Arts, majoring in choreography and devised theatre. She is Norwegian and based in Oslo, and has studied and worked in England for various periods of time. After graduating from DCA in 1992 she was the co-artistic director and performer of No Lost Souls, a theatre company focusing on devised and site specific work, performing at various venues in and around London. (BAC, Chisenhale Dance Space, Union Chapel, Stoke Newington Cemetery). After 3 years in London, Agnes moved to Norway and started teaching Movement and Theatre Production skills (all aspects) in a further education Theatre School in Oslo. She has experience as a director and facilitator for experimental theatre as well as text based performances. She also undertook a one year introduction to method acting and directing at the University of Iowa, collaborating with the MA Writers, staging work within the university. Agnes is a Contra Mestre in the Brazilian art form Capoeira, and has been practicing, teaching and performing Capoeira since 1990. Agnes also has a movement history in ballet, physical theatre and circus skills. She has wide knowledge of a variety of physical approaches to the creation of performance-work.
