Biography

Kim Wright is a movement director, director and actor for stage with an active interest in intimacy and violence. She has toured and performed extensively within the UK and abroad in Italy, Cyprus, Greece and the Middle East.

Kim enjoys building a physical language to explore the storytelling that both supports and enhances the theatrical world of the production. She thrives on igniting and harvesting actors’ physical expression within a performance space and how their informed interactions can transform the creative potential of a production.

Kim’s extensive experience in education has inspired a person-centered approach to her movement work and she is always seeking to support and celebrate artists in their creative discoveries. She actively works to offer a practice that is highly collaborative and encourages a collective response to exploring text through movement action.

In response to her studies, Kim’s research interests include: the importance of play in artistic processes, conscious action, theatre spaces and architecture and the complexities between actions of intimacy and violence.
