Profile

Yolanda started teaching on the ‘acting Shakespeare’ course at Central in 2006. She has been a freelance Education Practitioner at Shakespeare's Globe since 2003 and works with all age ranges including teachers, MA, undergraduate and drama school students as well as representing Globe Education on international outreach.  Since 2006 she has worked as the ‘voice and space” coach on the Globe education’s productions of “Much Ado About Nothing“, “Romeo and Juliet” and “Macbeth”. In 2008 she joined Clean Break Theatre Company as practitioner on their Access course.

Yolanda started teaching on the Acting - Shakespeare course at Central in 2006. She now also teaches on the Gap Year Diploma and the Summer Shakespeare course, as part of the Summer Schools.

Yolanda has worked for many years in theatre, television and film.  Her credits include Madame X in “the Stronger”,  at The Arcola, Lady Capulet in Romeo And Juliet for Theatre of Memory at the Middle Temple Hall.  Dido, in “Dido and Aeneas” for the Orchestra of The Age of Enlightenment, Getrude in “Hamlet” for The Factory. For Shakespeare’s Globe:  Hermoine in “The Winter’s Tale”, Agamemnon in “Troilus and Cressida”, Beatrice in “Much Ado About Nothing” Queen Elizabeth in “Richard III”, Hortensio in “The Taming Of The Shrew”, Hippolyta in “The Two Noble Kinsmen”, Bertha in “Augustine’s Oak” and Adriana in “The Comedy of Errors”.  For the RSC:  Titania in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, Donna Ana in ‘Don Juan’, Mrs Boucicault in ‘Two Shakespearean Actors’ and Queen Isabella in ‘Richard II’

Television and Film credits include: ‘Any Human Heart’ “Children of Men”, “Notting Hill”, “The Air Up There”, “Maria’s Child” “The Care of Time”, “House of Cards”, “Sherlock Holmes”, “Poirot”, “Peak Practice” and many others.
