Profile
Mairi is an actor trainer, director, theatre maker and community theatre practitioner. She manages and teaches on the Diploma courses, Evening courses, Summer Schools and Youth Theatre. She has worked as a visiting lecturer for Central since 2011 and joined as a full time member of staff in 2014.
Mairi originally trained as an actor and has worked extensively as an actor and theatre maker with companies including The West Yorkshire Playhouse, The Roundhouse, Look Left Look Right, Underbelly, Lowry Theatre Manchester, Theatre Delicatessen, Theatre 503, National Theatre Studio, Latitude Festival, The Southbank Centre, UK Film Council, BBC and ITV. Mairi is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Mairi has worked in a broad range of arts community and educational contexts including work in schools and colleges, youth clubs and theatres. She holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in HE and is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
