Research Strategy

Central’s Research Office was created in 2006 to foster collaborative research projects and the development of the Research Degrees programme, and conducted a successful submission to 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE).

Research at Central is characterised by diversity and internationalism, as well as informed by the industry connections of the staff.

We aim to:

• Be recognised internationally for a leading role in research in theatre and performance
• Retain, attract and support researchers (including practice-based researchers) whose work is of the highest quality
• Develop strategic alliances with key national and international partners.
