This two-week course is designed for those considering entering full-time courses at drama school or university, or interested in improving their audition technique.

You will concentrate on the exploration of selected texts, both classic and contemporary, and examining the clues for performance that these texts offer.

Textual exploration is supported by voice and movement work offered by a specialist team of tutors, helping you to sharpen and refine your acting skills.

You are expected to have prepared two pieces (one contemporary, one period) before joining the course, which must not be from Central’s audition speeches list for full-time courses.

Course Detail

Dates: Monday 30th July 2018 - Friday 10th Aug 2018. 10:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday each week. 

Minimum Age: 17 years (under 18's must get a parent/guardian to fill our a Permission Survey before the start of the course)

Note: Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must be confident speaking English to a conversational level (ideally IELTS score of 7.0 or equivalent)

Visas and Immigration: If you are not from an EU or EEA country or Switzerland, you will need to obtain a Visa prior to entry to the UK (if you are a visa national) or upon entry to the UK (if you are a non-visa national). It is each student's responsibility to have the right documentation for study when they arrive at RCSSD.

Please note that you cannot enter the UK on a Visitor's Visa if your primary reason for travel is to study on this course. if you do not have a valid visa you will not be allowed to study at RCSSD.

Booking

Our courses are available on a first-come, first served basis in order of payment. To secure a place, please follow the steps below:-

1. Click on "Book Now" on the left-hand side of this screen and complete the online application.

2. You will then receive an automated email with confirmation of application and your Student ID number.

3. Please then call the office on 0207 559 3960 quoting your Student ID number to make payment of the course fee. Our phone line is open from 9am - 4.30pm,  Monday to Friday.

Please note, to confirm a place, payments must be received in full.
