Course Title

Actor-Musicianship: Repertoire for the Interdisciplinary Artist

Meeting once a week, you will explore one of the fastest-growing genres in UK theatre. Actor-musician shows are becoming more frequent in the West End and on Broadway - and actor-musicians are in high demand.

The course delivers practical training for actors who play instruments to learn how these disciplines are integrated, preparing you for auditions. You will work towards a repertoire of material covering everything you are likely to be asked for in an actor-musician audition.

This course is aimed at professional actors, conservatoire students and graduates with instrumental experience, who wish to extend their interdisciplinary practice.

Participants should be able to play at least 2 instruments to the standard of approximately grade 6 (as a guide); formal instrumental qualifications or training is not necessary.
