Book Launch: Imposed Identities and British Further Education
Event information
Join author Dr Javeria Khadija Shah, Central’s Programme Leader, Learning Development and Inclusion, in the launch of their new book - Imposed Identities in British Further Education, the experiences of learners classified as ‘low ability’.
This book emerges out of a qualitative longitudinal research project that the author conducted in the Further Education sector across a ten year time frame to elicit the experiences, trajectories, and professional and/or academic destinations of GCSE failed learners on Level 2 Media courses.
This launch event will include a presentation from Dr Shah on the research and findings from the original project, alongside a discussion on the themes of the book. The event will conclude with an audience Q&A and book signing.
