The School of Professional and Community Development (SPCD) is an outward-facing department of Central School of Speech & Drama, University of London, committed to high quality enhancement and application of knowledge about theatre and performance techniques within local, national and international communities.
SPCD offers specialist speech and drama training that is innovative, socially responsive and tailored to the needs of diverse client groups.
Through working with schools, voluntary and community organisations, the public sector and business communities, it seeks to provide programmes that enhance personal wellbeing and productivity at work.
Positioned within the UK's designated Centre for Excellence in Training for Theatre, SPCD's consultancy and training are underpinned by the range of specialist teaching, performance practice and research within the college, supporting the economic and social value of drama and performance industries both nationally and internationally.
SPCD offers varied training courses for Business, and Schools and Communities. SPCD also offers Short Courses and Summer School training.
