New Academic Titles Conferred on Central Staff

In June, Central’s Conferment of Academic Titles Committee met to award academic titles to members of its staff in recognition of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and research. 

Receiving the title of Professor were: 

• Professor Selina Busby, Professor of Applied and Social Theatre, Course Leader of MA Applied Theatre and Course Leader of the Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Theatre with Young People  

• Professor Kate Elswit, Professor of Performance and Technology 

• Professor Stephen Farrier, Professor of Theatre and Performance 

• Professor Tony Fisher, Professor of Theatre, Politics and Aesthetics and Associate Director of Research (Research Degrees) 

Readership title was conferred on: 

• Dr Tom Cornford, Reader in Politics and Performance and Head of the Research Degrees Programme 

And receiving the title of Senior Lecturer were: 

• Dr Alyson Coleman, Senior Lecturer in Drama and Movement Therapy 

• Dr Marilena Zaroulia, Senior Lecturer in Performance Arts
