Education 2.0 is a three-day, knowledge-intensive conference, which ‘attracts the most dynamic leaders in the education sector and promises to bring fresh insights and perspectives to empower, inspire, and enrich the global learning community’. On receiving her award Dr Shah said:

‘Thank you so much for the recognition through Education 2.0, it’s a huge honour. I just want to thank the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London, particularly colleagues: the Principal Josette Bushell-Mingo and the Vice Principal Mark Hunter who’ve been developing me and supporting me. There are so many barriers, and so many ceilings, glass ones, concrete ones, so it’s really lovely to have colleagues that ally and support.’

Dr Shah is also the Founding Director of the Social Performance Network which is focused on the centralising of individual voice and lived experience in developing holistic understandings of social phenomenon.

At Central, Dr Shah is a member of the Principal’s Office and Associate Director of the Centre for Inclusive Pedagogy & Practice, in addition to overseeing the Learning Skills Programme, which offers informal learning development to Central’s full student body. Dr Shah also teaches modules on research practice and decolonising research for the London Arts & Humanities Partnership (LAHP) and is the founding member of the Global Majority Staff Network and Ummah (Central’s Muslim staff and student collective).
