Adaptation of the novel by Bernard-Marie Koltès

Translated by Martin Crimp

Director Dan Sherer

Performed by MA Acting - Contemporary

“Everything here is filthy. The whole city is filthy and teeming with men.

Let the rain fall, and let it keep in falling…”

Roberto Zucco, murderer poet, wanders through the urban jungle, a terrifying storm of violence born from the city’s underbelly.

Latent. Always ready to burst into the open.

And yet…

Bernard Marie Koltès’s masterpiece is as urgent today as it was when it was first produced in 1990: a series of spare poetic encounters, juxtaposing brutal and contemporary violence with moments of arresting beauty and, ultimately, hope.
