MA Movement Studies Free Taster Workshop

MA Movement Studies at Central will be offering a practical workshop for those interested in Movement Studies.

Wednesday 9 May from 6:30 -8:30 will be run by Debbie Green

Debbie Green, Senior Lecturer, and movement tutor on the MA Movement Studies, will be running a taster workshop exploring a pedagogic interrogation of moving from the core for the actor. Clothes that allow for moving freely and bare feet are advised for this session. 

Wednesday 6 June from 6:30-8:30 will be run by Ayse Tashkiran

Ayse Tashkiran, Senior Lecturer, and MA Movement Studies course leader  will be running a taster workshop exploring movement principles and accessing the body imagination for actors as a movement director.  For an example of Ayse's current movement direction work please see the Nations at War season at the Royal Shakespeare Company.Clothes that allow for moving freely and bare feet are advised for this session.

MA Movement Studies

MA Movement Studies is a pioneering programme for those who wish to teach and direct movement. It is designed for those with skills from a range of physical disciplines (e.g. sports, yoga, dance, physical theatre) and who want to pursue careers as:
                 - Actor movement teachers
                 - Movement directors
                 - Theatre choreographers
                 - Movement for ensemble theatre makers
                 - Movement coaches for film/animation/puppetry
