MA Advanced Theatre Practice - Work In Progress Performances and Presentations

The MA Advanced Theatre Practice at Central School of Speech & Drama is a meeting place for theatre makers from diverse artistic backgrounds to collaborate to make new theatre work. This year's cohort are half way through making their own work; performance work destined for audiences in July, August and beyond, and will be presenting work-in-progress performances and presentations from Wednesday 13 June to Thursday 21 June 2012.

In recent years, work seen at this point has gone on to be performed in a range of festivals, venues, and found spaces - small and large, modest and prestigious, near and far.

We are keen that each work continues to develop in its own way, and value your support in helping to set this process in motion.

We would be delighted if you joined us - to be added to the guest list visit Eventbrite  (booking is essential)

Verbatim Movement
by Jessica Blaxland Ashby

Verbatim Movement is where movements from real life are copied exactly and translated onto the stage. After all, movement is said to be a primary form of communication, and through movement we can tell stories that can't be told in any other way. In this piece we delve into stories of women, and flirting, relationships and hysterectomies.
