Central launches new Postgraduate Scholarships

Central is delighted to announce that it has made over £90k available in postgraduate scholarships in order to support its students in the coming academic year. This brings the total amount in scholarships to £120K, which enables Central to offer its students considerable support.

Over 40 new scholarships are available for Central’s MA programmes, including substantial awards of over 50% of the fees for MA Performance Practices and Research, MA Creative Producing, MA Advanced Theatre Practice and MA Theatre Studies (Performance and the City). Scholarships will be awarded to both home and EU students on the basis of exceptional merit, funded by a mixture of private and charitable donations. This means that 1 in 4 of Central’s new MA students will receive a scholarship.

Applicants must have secured a place on their chosen course before Friday 25 May 2012 in order to be considered for the awards which will be announced in late May/early June. Applicants should aim to apply for their course before Easter in order to meet the above deadline. No separate scholarship application is required - all applicants will be automatically considered on the basis of their performance at audition/interview. Applicants holding other awards may also be considered for these new awards.
