Central has been notified by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) that it will continue to receive 'exceptional' funding.
This means that the amount of funding received for each student is higher than the average amount allocated to creative arts students in non-specialist universities and colleges in England.
The higher amount reflects the additional costs of the specialist work at Central and acknowledges the public value of this work. The exceptional funding element is subject to regular review.
