Congratulations to the Central Class of 2017!
Central is pleased to congratulate its Director of Research, Professor Maria Delgado, on her appointment to the Research England Council.
Central is pleased to announce that, together with Associate Artist Fevered Sleep, it has been shortlisted for a Times Higher Education Award (THE) for Research Project of the Year: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
Central's associate artist, London-based arts company Fevered Sleep – described by the Guardian as ‘boundary-smashing’ - and their Co-Artistic Director, Central's Professor of Interdisciplinary Performance David Harradine, bring a new version of their highly acclaimed dance piece, ‘Men & Girls Dance’ to Tate Britain this summer.
In front of a small invited audience, Professor Sally Mackey scattered paper memories of Studios 1 and 2 onto the structural foundations of the new North Block building, creating an indelible memory of place and ensuring that Central’s future will continue to grow on the strong foundations of its past.
Congratulations to Dr Sylvan Baker – Central’s Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow for Drama, Applied Theatre and Education – who has recently been awarded a 2017 Centre for Public Engagement Award for Influence at the Queen Mary University of London Engagement and Enterprise Awards.
On Monday 12 December, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama hosted its annual Graduation Ceremony at The Royal Festival Hall.
